I always come back to this amazing acoustic version for a listen. I loved and listened to Chris for a long time and man it hurt when he passed. It was like a part of my soul died with him. I cried listening to this version over and over. The lyrics became more and more real and deep with the thought of him gone and no longer here. The sounds of his voice doing lead and BU give me chills everytime . The wailing BLACK HOLE SUN got me good in the feels, i felt that. RIP Chris, you are not a person that can or will ever be forgotten. ❤😢

I have no specific knowledge of the crimes he stood accused of but I can confidently state that the judicial system during that time would have been very much against him regardless of whether he was guilty or innocent. As a black man living in Louisiana in the late 1800’s earjy 1900’s he would have been deemed guilty almost immediately.
